Meri marzi ka jahan

Meri marzi, meri arzi pai chalta hai yeh mera jahan
Hai yeh tasveer merey jahan ki, jo hai sarey jahan sey juda!!

Qatra-Qatra, Leherleher, chappa-chappa judkar banti hai kaynaat yahan
Sham –o-shehar, neend-o-nazar mai khwabon ki rangeen bastiyan
Naya-purana, tootataza, sab tarah key rishton ka karvaan
Azaad khayal, bebaak zubaan, aankhon mai unchaye manzar yahan

Meri marzi, meri arzi pai chalta hai yeh mera jahan
Hai yeh tasveer merey jahan ki, jo hai sarey jahan sey juda!!

Yahan bastey nahi Raqeebon key nishaan
Milti nahi berukhiyan yahan
Yeh jahan hai merey baakpan ka
Bas milti hai yahan beshumaar khushiyan!!!

Meri marzi, meri arzi pai chalta hai yeh mera jahan
Hai yeh tasveer merey jahan ki, jo hai sarey jahan sey juda!!

Na naam kisika, na kiski ka hukm chalta yahan
Na shohrat kisi ki, na sikka zulmi ka jamta yahan
Yeh jahan hai rehm-o aman ka merey rehbar
Yeh jahan hai shanti key paigaam ka..

Meri marzi, meri arzi pai chalta hai yeh mera jahan
Hai yeh tasveer merey jahan ki, jo hai sarey jahan sey juda!!

Yeh chaman hai muhabbat ka, hai marasimon ka baagban
Chalta zor nahi zalimon key yaraney ka yahan
Yeh chaman hai phoolon sey bhara, geeton sey mehka
Bas le jaye khushbuein saath, jo aaye ikbaar bhi yahan!!

Hai yeh tasveer merey jahan ki, jo hai sarey jahan sey juda

Meri marzi, meri arzi pai chalta hai yeh mera jahan!!

Khayaal

Zehen mai khayaal ik aaya  tha raat mai
kyun mayusi ney hai ghera mujhko is kadar
kyun samjhti hun khudko mai tanha bhari bheed mai
kyun khamosh ho rahin hai meri baatein yunhi aksar

Samajh nahi hai khushiyan sametney ki mujhko
ya ki kumzaraf ho gayi hai meri nazar
tabhi tou khwaab choad gayey hain galiyan meri nazar ki
tabhi tou rehmaton mai bacha nahi abb asar

khwaab toota jab tou khul gayi choukhatein sabhi
aasman dikha khada bahein failaye apni
samjh gayi usi pal uska ishara tha yeh meri aaur
banna padta hai aasmaan jo chahiye rabb ki rehm

Since black and white times- 160 non-stop years of Indian Railways

Indian Railways completes 160 years of service this year. The Indian Railways has now become the lifeline for transport of both goods and people. This journey of 160 years had its goods, betters, worse and bests till date. Looking on to the pace of Indian railways in terms of using technology these days like the latest introduction of use of wifi facility during travel in the newly inaugurated Jammu- Banihal rail service, it seems as if railways have started only a few years ago, but the journey hails its origin way back since a black-and-white trip down memory lane.

It was trade that boosted the necessity of using a transport that could take loads of cotton to other parts of the country. This paved way to starting off as a transport medium for cotton trade through the first tracks that were laid at Chintadripet in Madras, the first train flagged off was between Bombay and Thane, in 1853. It wouldn't be wrong to say that the railways played an important part in our freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi travelled frequently by train, covering the length and breadth of the country in a 3rd class compartment. Since then, the railways have become the lifeline of the nation, operating in 24 states and offering international services to Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. The Indian Railways figures among the largest rail networks in the world, in terms of track length, stations, and in the number of employees.

The Indian railways became the major transport in communication between India and newly formed Pakistan as a refugee special train at Ambala brought people from Pakistan to India. Post partition evacuation trains were jam-packed with people who would risk their lives travelling the whole distance sitting on roofs. Unlike today, Indian Railways of yesteryear's were more animal friendly. They also used elephants to position the carriages at their designated spot. Earlier, trains were run on coal, and a continuous supply of it was required. This meant that there were two or more people at all times filling up the 'smoke-spitter'. However, with electrification of tracks making headway, a coal engine is hard to come by these days.

Not only said, but the railway travelling has been of a great importance in the life of Indians. Perhaps this why it has been depicted on screen also and find a suitable place of its glimpse in the Indian Movies.  The trains were of a great importance in the Bollywood also remember the movies of yesteryear’s either started with the puffing train scene or there would be an important scene picturised in the train, remember the famous dialogue scene in Sholey , the song of engine drivers picturised  in the engine, or the Shahrukh’s song on the train head. A glimpse of the electrified trains was featured in the movie ‘Burning train. In any way, the railways have been a major feature in the life of all Indians traveling their distances in metros, locals or AC coaches. From steam engines to electrified metro railing, from main routes to hilly destinations, connecting India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Indian Railways has come through a long journey which needs to appreciated by each one of us travelling through trains.

Men in Uniform…. The Green comes to rescue

Cloud burst… Himalayan Tsunami… Thee’s revenge….Keher- E -Khuda…. widhwans….an answer to human deeds… Call it any way- the mere fact remains that this has been distressing disaster that has taken all Indians aback.
Thousands of people thronging to the shrine temple, shouting ‘har har mahadev,’ and enchanting mantras and hymns… sounds of the temple bell echoing in the mountainous scenic aura of the a picturesque Kedarnath… and suddenly..in a fraction of second..the scene changed…pilgrims got laid down to the dust and math of land, bursting cloud washed off even the bodies of the dead. The sublime river took the turn to a tsunami… the sweet sound of the running water changed to whirlpools from swirls, voice of cries and shouts of ‘help’…Bodies lying with the torn clothes, skewed sandals and edibles….residences turned to shambles and the shrine turned to a graveyard.
It is heartening to see thousands of families’ mourning for their lost members. Many of the dead bodies that have not been identified had been waiting for a cremation. Those who were left alive cried for help in a muddy graveyard full of foul smell and wraths of bodies…..and then deep down from the muddy mountains, there comes a glimpse of green… ‘Here we are’ comes a voice of rescue.  And victims got a sigh of relief looking a helping coming down to them from air and on ground. Yes! At the time when people had lost all hopes of staying alive, MEN IN UNIFORM was there to come to the rescue saying ‘Don’t worry…Main Hoon Na’.
Making bridges of the their bodies, lying on the ropes backwards, and asking people to walk through them… air lifting people with utmost care…. Standing rock solid to cover the queue of people walking through mountains… handling children with affection and a smile… here the men in uniform, THE INDIAN SECURITY FORCES…. Standing tall to face even the nature’s brutality with ease, poise and a smile, showing care and telling “I am responsible for Your Safety- Come hold my hand”.
Words would fail to accord a mark of respect to the Men In Uniform for the vulnerability they have shown at the time when they were most needed. The kind of collaborative efforts Indian Air Force and Indian Army have shown is commendable. It is highly appreciable on part of the security forces of our country the way they have been working for the people stuck in the shrine area. What is commendable in this regard is that despite this being the first biggest rescue operation for them, they have proved their worth in sphere of rescuing people even at the stake of their own lives.
The way all men in uniform have been standing there to provide a helping hand for the young, old and even the children, or the way they have performed the mass cremation of the bodies lying there and performing the rituals as the family members would perform is worth a salute from the core of every citizens’ heart.  They even did not step back in performing duties of being sons and daughters to the unclaimed bodies over there at the place of worship.

A heartfelt wish for peace to the souls comes from every citizen of the country these days. Mass prayers are being performed in almost every state to rest the heavenly souls in peace. But in all this we – the countrymen- should bow our heads down before these men at work who have come to the rescue of thousands as an epitome of god almighty. I personally adhere to recommend written accords to the Indian Army (forces that are working there) so as to appreciate the commendable job being done by their men in rescuing the victims. Kudos to the MEN IN UNIFORM… the green comes to rescue…..

Woh

Who tera wajood hai jo tujh mai sunayi deta hai,
Hai tujhsey judaa magar tujhsa dikhayi deta hai,
Jo chal raha terey nakshey kadam par hardum,
Hai alag par tera humshakal dikhayi deta hai,
Tu kar raha rehnumaiya uski yeh soach kar
Ki usmey tujhko apna maazi dikhayi deta hai,
Tu dhaal bankey khada hai jiska rehbar banker,
Wohi tera naam-o-nishaan mitata dikhayi deta hai……
Tu chal pada hai safar pe to faisala karle

Ki har raasta musafir ko mushkil dikhayi deta hai.........

Place Abode

what has happened at the place of abode,
where people rushed to get blessed by lord,
was it destiny or the humans fault?
the question gets mind to a jolt..

people were swearing and chanting mantras,
were lighting lamps to please the god
could realise what THEE had for them,
shaked and ruined thousands with just a click of his palm

many say its an answer to man's deeds,
THEE has paid us for our greeds,
but what of those, who were genuinely praying,
who were had gone with pious hearing...

questions may haunt us for often long,
but this is a call, stern and strong,
beware! what you reap and sow,
I am here totake you for a ride to my earthly show......
